Social Media Manager

Ljubljana, Slovenia / Remote (Full-Time)

Don't you just love when a buzz you create on social media connects with business wins?

Well, this is how you'll need to feel in this role.

We're looking for an ambitious, effortlessly creative, and committed Social Media Manager to join the Zebra BI marketing team. You'll play a vital role, making sure our social media presence educates and entertains people in the BI community, and help spread the word about our powerful data visualization tools.

To be successful at this job, it really helps if you like data visualization. Even better, if you like performance reporting. But don't worry if those buzzwords don't mean much to you yet - we can tell you all there is to know as long as you're willing to learn. Your job is going to be to make sure the Zebra BI social media accounts are worth following for business analysts, financial controllers, finance directors, and all other data enthusiasts (even influencers) who are tired of old-school manual and delayed reporting.

It's key that you're a hands-on creative person, able to take a piece of information and turn it into a story, diligent with your project and time management, and that you let data lead your creative process.

This role will focus on creating and posting content on social media, as well as building relationships with people from our community. You'll be as comfortable as replying to comments under posts, as you will be collaborating, teaming up with our other content, social media, and design folks to create a broader brand experience and further build our thought-leadership in the category.

At Zebra BI we build powerful tools that help the world's top companies visualize their data in Excel and Power BI to get insights into how well their business is doing. Since our launch in 2014, more than 2,000 companies powered their decisions with Zebra BI visuals, among them Philips, Uber, Coca-Cola, Heineken, Duracell, and many others. Apparently, our visuals are so powerful, even Microsoft uses them for internal reporting.

At Zebra BI we put our community first. These people are the reason we exist. In 2020 we more than doubled the size of our social media community. Are you ready to join our team and continue this growth?

What you’ll be doing

  • Working with the team to develop plans for what we communicate on social media (mostly LinkedIn, Twitter, and Youtube, but we're also present on Facebook)
  • Taking those plans, turning them into deliverable chunks with measurable outcomes, and then EXECUTING these plans. Yes, this means writing copy, providing inputs for our designer, answering comments, engaging with other relevant people under their own posts... you name it. Whatever is needed to grow the presence and visibility of Zebra BI brand within the  BI community.
  • Iterating. Planning and experimenting with different approaches. Hey, you never know what's going to work (and when), right?
  • ... But also driving brand consistency! You'll need to make sure all our social media presence reflects the Zebra BI brand and our position as the category leader.
  • Researching. A lot of it. From businesses in our industry to completely different players that might provide inspiration for good-practices that we can test.
  • Engaging with the community on other platforms such as Reddit or some industry-specific forums (we know some of them but we expect you to continuously be on the lookout for new online places where our users hang out!)
  • Making sure our community is getting relevant, engaging, informational, or entertaining content at all times. High-quality content is the no. 1 priority at Zebra BI.
  • Building meaningful relationships with influencers in our niche (yes, performance reporting has its own opinion-makers too)
  • Sitting in meetings with the marketing team. Being up to speed with everything that's going on across all our marketing areas and actively contributing to making them successful with your skills and knowledge.

This position is for you if you…

  • Are a focused, enthusiastic person who is obsessed with social media and can't stop scrolling. Experience is important but not as important as your drive and talent.
  • Are a good story-teller
  • Have a very high proficiency in the English language
  • Have a creative mind and like to experiment to see what works and what doesn't
  • Are someone who thrives in a collaborative environment, with plenty of input from across departments (we have lots of opinions at Zebra BI, you will need to manage them properly)
  • It's a plus if you have experience with working with tools & platforms such as HubSpot, WordPress, Google Analytics, Canva, or Hotjar.
  • Know when it's time to brainstorm ideas... and when it's time to get things done. Very important.
  • Are a positive person, show up for your colleagues, and are as willing to help them as you're happy when they have some tweaks to suggest

Perks & Benefits

  • A remote-first working environment with the option to work at brand new offices in Tehnološki Park Ljubljana Brdo
  • Flexible working schedule
  • Dedicated budget for your home office equipment
  • A fast-paced working environment and a growing marketing team
  • Prestigious clients
  • Courses, conferences, and educational workshops
  • Permanent employment with a 3 month trial period
  • Competitive salary
