Power BI user group Hamburg online meetup

On Thursday, June 18th, 2020, Andrej appeared at the online event organized by the Power BI user group Hamburg. This time the main topic of his presentation was the IBCS-compliant reporting in Power BI.

Power BI is an outstanding BI platform, however, it does fall short when it comes to financial reporting and advanced business analysis.

Andrej and his host, Lars Schreiber, discussed financial reports, P&Ls, sales vs. plan performance dashboards, cost vs. budget analyses, and similar report types where Dr. Hichert's IBCS (International Business Reporting Standards) provide extremely practical recommendations and best practices.

They took a deep dive into waterfall charts, variance analysis, small multiples, income statement calculations, and other data visualization methods where Power BI needs to be extended with IBCS-certified visuals like Zebra BI in order to deliver understandable and actionable reports and dashboards.
